Rapid Innovation & Global Collaboration | XNox Emissions Program, Tenneco

At Tenneco, a Fortune 500 company with $8B annual sales, I was entrusted to lead the most high-profile project in the organization’s portfolio: the XNox emissions reduction program. This groundbreaking initiative focused on dramatically lowering NOx emissions in diesel engines, positioning Tenneco at the forefront of clean diesel technology.
For the pivotal market introduction, we partnered with Kubota, Japan’s leading tractor manufacturer, to integrate XNox into their flagship machinery. Despite the program’s significance, the product was not yet at the necessary readiness level to meet the proposed launch schedule.
As program lead, I drew on advanced engineering expertise and strategic problem-solving skills to overcome these hurdles. This included:
• Coordinating intensive, data-driven design reviews with both Tenneco’s R&D teams and Kubota’s engineering leadership.
• Leading on-site collaboration efforts in Japan to secure rapid approval of critical design changes, ensuring stakeholder alignment across continents.
• Driving cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, implement solutions, and track quality metrics in real time.
Through relentless focus, organizational discipline, and a commitment to transparent communication, I orchestrated the complex technical and cultural integration necessary for program success. These efforts resulted in:
• On-time product launch with Kubota, meeting all initial deliverables and exceeding customer expectations.
• Delivery achieved with zero defects at launch, underscoring a commitment to both quality and innovation.
This experience exemplifies my ability to deliver transformative results on a global stage, manage risk under tight timelines, and foster strong, trust-based relationships with international clients and partners.
